Gold Bullion to Shima Shine

On Thursday night, Shima Shine added the Gold Bullion to his resume after claiming the Group 1 with an all the way victory at Albion Park.

The son of Barcia Bale and Shima Song was sent out the punters elect from box four after an impressive all the way victory in his heat last week.

WATCH: Shima Shine (B4) defeat Crazy Cool (B8) and the people’s dog Tommy Shelby (B6) in the Group 1 Gold Bullion Final at Albion Park.

The $150,000 first prize has now elevated his career earnings to more than $560,000.

Trained by Team Dailly and bred by the DavRob Syndicate, Shima Shine is a winner 30 races from 48 career starts.

The Group 1 Gold Bullion is Shima Shine’s second Group 1 victory after he claimed the invitational Topgun at The Meadows in November 2020.

There is no rest for the talented, with Shima Shine now preparing for his tilt at the invitational Temlee which will be run at The Meadows on Saturday 13th February.

Pre box draw, Shima Shine is the $3 TAB favourite to claim his third Group 1 event.

The box draw for the $100,000 to-the-winner Temlee will be conducted from 6.15pm on Saturday night at The Meadows.

Sunset Bourbski also did Victoria proud in Queensland running a monster second to Sir Truculent in the Listed Gold Cup Final (710m).

Here’s Tears was Victoria’s second representative in the Gold Cup Final where he finished fourth from box four.
