Vale Mandy Shaw

The greyhound racing community is saddened by the passing of Mandy ‘Mumma’ Shaw on Sunday after a battle with illness.

Mandy’s smile and willingness to help anyone will be missed on track by everyone who has had the pleasure of meeting her.

“Mandy wouldn’t want to be remembered for anything other than the love she had for her family, her granddaughter Mackenzie – who was the apple of her eye – friends and, most of all, her beloved greyhounds,” close friend Renee Kenyon said.

“She was one of kind. The laughs, the cheeky banter – it was who Mandy was. Whenever she would walk into a room it would light up – that’s just what Mandy did.”

One of Mandy’s most prized recent achievements in greyhound racing was winning the Judy Hayley Memorial at Sandown Park alongside close friend Brooke Berry with Unwanted Lady.

Our thoughts go out to Mandy’s partner Glenn, her family and friends.

Funeral details to come.
