Additional race meetings for regional Victoria

GRV’s Racing Department is excited to announce eight additional race meetings to the racing program from late July until the end of August.

These meetings will be held during Monday (Twilight) and Tuesday (Day) and provide an additional $170,000 to participants through a combination of prize money, travel and starters fees.

In the coming weeks, GRV expects to announce further enhancements to the racing program for September and October, including the prospect of Saturday morning racing.

Warrnambool Monday 27 July (Twilight) –  Rank Limit (250+) – Bottom Up Grading Applies

Warragul Monday 3 August (Twilight) – Half Stakes – Preference to Maidens, Grade 7 & Grade 6

Healesville Tuesday 4 August (Day) – Tier 3

Warrnambool Monday 10 August (Twilight) –  Rank Limit (250+) – Bottom Up Grading Applies

Warragul Monday 17 August (Twilight) –  Rank Limit (250+) – Bottom Up Grading Applies

Healesville Tuesday 18 August (Day) – Tier 3

Warrnambool Monday 24 August (Twilight) –  Rank Limit (250+) – Bottom Up Grading Applies

Warragul Monday 31 August (Twilight) – Half Stakes – Preference to Maidens, Grade 7 & Grade 6

 

In addition to the extra race meetings in August, and to ensure a better flow of greyhounds through the weekly calendar, race meetings held at Geelong each Tuesday will now be Tier 3 meetings from Tuesday 4 August.

Shepparton will also conduct their weekly ‘Provincial’ meeting on Monday nights and hold a Tier 3 meeting during their Thursday Twilight time slot from Monday 10 August onwards.
