Gr8 run by Haze leaves rivals in a daze

A barnstorming run from Weblec Haze has seen the powerful greyhound take out last night’s Gr8 Eight event at The Meadows.

Trained by Jeff Britton, the son of Barcia Bale and Weblec Belle showed off his monster engine when swooping around his rivals to win the 600m event in 34.31sec.

Weblec Haze paid $12.00 for the win, his 11th victory from 37 starts, with Australian Cup finalists Last Hurrah and Aston Cade running 2nd and 3rd respectively.
