Matt Clark’s wise words about Playlist, Catch The Thief and the current climate

The Watchdog Form Guide Service is tipping Matt Clark is going to have a great day out at The Meadows with litter sibling’s Catch The Thief and Playlist.

Today’s outing at The Meadows is the first Matt has had since the Canine Gastro virus swept through his kennels.

“They both trialed well at Sandown which tells me that they are ready, but I do think they are a run short from their best,” Matt said.

Playlist and Catch The Thief are sons of Aussie Infrared and Dundee Ally.

Playlist, Race 5 Box 3 at 1.17pm

TAB odds: $1.30
12 starts: 6-1-1
Post to post trial at Sandown: 23.31sec RH 10.40

“Playlist is the better Meadows dogs and all times he is running suggest he will be the stronger of the two, even a stayer. He holds his line out of the boxes but will go left which will put pressure on the dogs on his inside.”

Watchdog says: Lit up the track here last month and with a clean getaway he will take a power of beating.

Catch The Thief, Race 7 Box 2 at 1.52pm

TAB odds: $1.04
11 starts: 6-2-0
Post to post trail at Sandown: 23.37sec (BOD 23.31sec)

“Catch The Thief first stood up as a race dog at The Meadows before going to Sandown where he nailed the beginnings. He has vacant boxes either side of him which will work in his favour, but I do think he is a bit short at $1.04 mark because he had a bit of time off. Saying that, he is still a class dog and deserves to be favourite.”

Matt joined the crew from RSN’s Off The Leash on Tuesday last week to talk about the sport of greyhound racing during a time of COVID-19. His words are real and uplifting and worth a listen!
