SATURDAY SUPERHERO – CHARLIE COCKATOO

It seems The Watchdog is getting slightly ‘cocky’. He’s confident Charlie Cockatoo (Race 11, Box 3) will ‘talk the talk’ at The Meadows tonight.

GRV’s form analyst is predicting Charlie Cockatoo will ‘sprout wings’ in a Grade 5 over 525 metres, even though he’s rated a $7.50 chance. So, it may pay those of fixed odds persuasion to get in early before the ‘bird has flown’.

Trained at Little River by David Burnett, Charlie Cockatoo’s form has recently ‘flown the coop’. However, The Watchdog says he drops in class tonight.

Charlie Cockatoo is yet to ‘fluff his feathers’ at MGRA headquarters, having only notched one second and two thirds from seven starts.

Conversely, he’s no ‘empty nester’ at Sandown Park. His ‘raucous screech’ has been heard loud and clear, with five wins over the 515-metre sprint trip.

His overall record reads nine wins, nine seconds and 10 thirds from 50 starts.

Check out Charlie Cockatoo’s slick 29.66sec victory at Sandown Park on January 17 this year:
