WEDNESDAY WHISPER – BURST THE SEAM

We’re all familiar with the saying, “saving the best for last”.

Every punter would love their pockets bursting at the seams.

Well, The Watchdog is predicting a ‘pocketful of miracles’ at Ballarat tonight.

The greyhound in question is the aptly named Burst The Seam (box eight), who is the GRV form analyst’s top pick in a heat of the GRV Vic Bred Series (1-4 Wins) over 450 metres.

And Burst The Seam, trained at Portland by Nicole Stanley, is well-equipped to line bettors’ pockets.

The up-and-coming speedster has hardly put a paw wrong, with two wins and one second from only three starts – all at Warrnambool.

Blessed with sizzling early toe, Burst The Seam saluted on debut with a slick 22.14 sec win over 390 metres, and at his latest outing posted a dominant 25.30sec win over 450 metres.

It’s also pertinent to note, even at this embryonic stage of his career, that he’s partial to a wide draw.

Check out Burst The Seam’s seamless display, from box seven, last week at Warrnambool:
