SATURDAY SUPERHERO – TAUWITCHERE

Punters will be ‘channelling’ their attention towards Tauwitchere in a Free For All over 525 metres at The Meadows tonight.

The Watchdog has ‘unlocked’ Tauwitchere (box one) as one of his top selections on the 12-race program.

Last month, Tauwitchere was a finalist in the Group 1 Maturity Classic final at The Meadows, which was taken out by her kennelmate Sennachie. And back in April, she took out the Group 2 Launching Pad (515m) at Sandown Park.

Trained at Buln Buln East by Steven White, Tauwitchere has registered nine wins from 18 starts – an impressive 50% winning strike rate.

Amazingly, she has only started once from the ‘red’ trap, resulting in a win at Angle Park (515m) in Adelaide in November last year.

Fast approaching $200,000 in prizemoney, Tauwitchere has notched two wins and one second from four starts over the 525m trip at MGRA headquarters.

Her signature early speed has been missing at her past three starts, but with a noted wide runner on her immediate outside and the coveted ‘cherry’ draw, she will be given every chance to strut her jet-propelled legs.

Pawnote: What’s in a name? Tauwitchere Barrrage Lock is a structure within the River Murray system in South Australia. Tauwitchere, the greyhound, is SA bred.
