Star speedster Orson Allen commences his Group 1 National Sprint Championship campaign in a Victorian heat over 525 metres at The Meadows tonight.

Prepared at Mount Wallace by Correy Grenfell, Orson Allen (box one) has an imposing record at The Meadows with seven wins, two seconds and one third from 15 starts. And his overall record from box one is equally impressive – six starts for five wins and one second.

A five-times Group race winner with more than $600,000 in stakes, Orson Allen has a sizzling 29.56sec personal best from box two on this track, so he’s well poised from an inside alley.

Fresh from a one-month hiatus, The Watchdog is tipping Orson Allen will notch his 31st win from 60 starts.
