Gippsland bushfire update

Bushfires raging in Victoria’s Gippsland region are having a significant effect on the greyhound racing population with many families taking refuge at local race clubs.

It has been reported today that about 25 bushfires are currently burning across the state.

GRV wishes to reiterate that race clubs in Cranbourne, Warragul and Traralgon have opened their kennel blocks, which are fully air-conditioned, to house greyhounds at fire risk.

If your property is, or potentially could be under the threat of fire, you can contact your local club on the numbers below, or alternatively call 0428 032 234.
