Racing Integrity Commissioner to embark on revamped roadshow

During February/March 2019, Victoria’s Racing Integrity Commissioner (Commissioner), Sal Perna, will be conducting his annual roadshows in regional and metropolitan locations throughout Victoria.

In 2019, the roadshow sessions will be in the form of a ‘Q&A’ approach, in a less formal presentation format used in previous years and will be conducted at race clubs on race days. This new approach is in response to feedback received from previous roadshow attendees.

The sessions are aimed at building on those undertaken in the previous seven years to create a greater understanding and awareness of the role and responsibilities of the Commissioner, the work the office has undertaken and an overview of what is in place to ensure that the Victorian Racing Industry operates free from the influence of crime and corruption.

The Commissioner’s attendance will provide anyone attending the race meeting an opportunity to raise questions and hear first-hand of the Commissioner’s perspectives on integrity in the racing industry.
