Victorian sprinter Up Hill Jill is the $1.45 TAB favourite to win heat one of the Group 3 Ladies Bracelet (520m) at Wentworth Park tomorrow night, a week after running 2nd to WA greyhound Trouper Monelli in the Group 1 Perth Cup (520m).

While trainer David Geall suspects that two return flights to Perth in the space of a week for the heats and final may have “taken the edge” off his superstar, he said driving to Sydney provided a more familiar challenge and that Up Hill Jill “loves travelling in the van.”

The winner of Sydney’s richest greyhound race, the Group 1 Golden Easter Egg (520m) at Wentworth Park in March, Up Hill Jill is now Australia’s fifth all-time highest prize money winner with $833,996.

Three heats of the Ladies Bracelet will be run tomorrow, with the first two place getters and two fastest thirds to make up next weekend’s $25,000 to-the-winner final.
