Turbo Charged Easter School Holidays

Victorian families looking for school holiday activities this Easter will be kept entertained with ten Greyhound Holiday Fun Days to be held across the state over the next two weeks.

Minister for Racing Martin Pakula today announced a joint funding package of more than $126,000 to support the free family fun program.

The Easter School Holidays Kids Program, hosted by Greyhound Racing Victoria, will be held at ten racing venues across Victoria, starting at the Glenview Park Racecourse in Traralgon today, 3 April.

“The Greyhound Holiday Fun Days will keep the kids entertained, while also helping to attract more visitors to cities and towns across the state.” – Minister for Racing Martin Pakula

Kids will enjoy big-screen interactive video games, face painting, karaoke and sporting activities, as well as making new four-legged friends at the Greyhound Adoption Program stand.

Turbo – Greyhound Racing Victoria’s friendly mascot – will also make a special appearance, with Turbo themed activities on offer including a jumping castle, inflatable slide, activity bags and photo opportunities.

The program will also be held at Warrnambool on 5 April, Shepparton on 6 April, Ballarat on 8 April, Sale on 9 April, Geelong on 11 April, Cranbourne on 12 April, Sandown on 13 April, The Meadows on 15 April before finishing at Bendigo on 16 April.

“We’re thankful to the Victorian Government for helping us bring Turbo the greyhound and this exciting program to 10 clubs across the state.” – Greyhound Racing Victoria Chairman Bernie Carolan

Entry to all of the Greyhound Holiday Fun Days is free and kids will also receive a complimentary meal and drink.

The Labor Government is contributing more than $63,000 towards the program through the Victorian Racing Industry Fund Raceday Attraction Program. Greyhound Racing Victoria is matching the contribution.
