Western Bulldogs Captain Bob Murphy was on hand to launch greyhound racing’s brand new Gippsland Carnival today at the 90 mile beach in Seaspray.
Murphy, who is originally from the Gippsland town of Warragul, met with a team of greyhounds including Catalan Flyer (pictured) on the beach to announce the $800,000 Carnival, which starts with the Sale Cup on Boxing Day before coming to completion at the Traralgon Cup in March.
The Carnival will provide a tremendous boost to the broader local Gippsland economy.
