Sandown Park is set to race in an earlier timeslot on Thursday evenings this winter.

For instance, Race 1 this Thursday night is scheduled to commence at 6:02pm. As such, kennels will open at 4:32pm and close at 5:32pm. Thursday night’s program will conclude an hour earlier than normal at 9:52pm, as opposed to the normal 10:57pm.

The intention is to run as many races as possible between 6:00pm and 8:00pm, as well as getting participants home earlier during winter.
