Following last night’s exciting heats, the box draw for the Group 1 TAB Melbourne Cup will be held at 12:00pm today (Friday) at Sandown Park, and the club is inviting the general public to witness the occasion while enjoying a FREE gourmet BBQ.
 
The fun starts starts at 11:30am, where celebrities will be on hand as the 2013 Melbourne Cup trainers pick out the box draw marbles themselves.

The feeling surrounding this event will be emotion charged as trainers are hoping their greyhounds draw favourably in the life-changing $500,000 final (including $350,000 first prize).

However, if you can’t get there, be sure you tune into Sky Racing 1 or RSN from 12:00pm to watch the box draw conducted live.
