BOX DRAWS COMPLETE
The box draws for the Group 1 TAB Melbourne Cup (515m) and Group 1 Solo Bold Trease (715m) were conducted at Sandown Park on Friday morning.
The event was televised live on Sky Racing 1 and broadcast live on RSN, as the general public gathered for a free goumet barbeque put on by the club.
Arguably the happiest person in attendance was Paul Anderton, who said “this is a dream” after drawing out the red marble (box 1) for his Melbourne Cup finalist Shifty Sticka.
The Melbourne Cup and Bold Trease will be run at Sandown this Thursday night.
