CLASSIC A PREMIER EVENT

Anakie trainer Angela Langton claimed her third Warrnambool Classic (450m) tonight when her little-known youngster Premier Event caused a major upset to claim the $75,000 first prize.

The 26 month old son of Premier Fantasy led all the way to win at odds of $13.50 ahead of Daintree Emperor (Lauren Gorman) and Blue Flute (Chris Johannsen), while hot $1.40 favourite Proven Nitro finished at the tail of the field.

Premier Event, who was bred by Joane Maschmedt of Newtown, scored his sixth win from 18 starts.
