Gippsland greyhound trainer David Curtain has welcomed an increase in travel payments at Victorian race meetings, which take effect today.
Competing trainers will now receive a $70 travel payment upon arrival at racetracks (up from $60), to go with the existing $10 starters payment for every greyhound they have racing.
GRV regulates the sport of greyhound racing in the state of Victoria under the Racing Act 1958 (Act), which includes setting standards and ensuring they are met by participants.
