This Saturday night, the first Group 1 of 2013 will be run and won as the $145,000 Silver Chief Classic takes place at The Meadows with the winning greyhound to be crowned the best young male in the country.

One runner that could score his trainer an extra special Group 1 victory is Allen Makoto. Trainer, Mark Delbridge of Balliang, has been training greyhounds for close to 15 years and is yet to win a Group 1 despite having some talented greyhounds in the past.
