Youngsters dominate as Organised Crime tops Horsham Cup qualifiers

Youngster Organised Crime stamped himself as a genuine rising star after producing the fastest heat win on a night dominated by emerging talent in the Group 2 Horsham Cup heats.

Having just his seventh race start, the Justin Nolan trained youngster exploded from the boxes, recording a scorching 6.46 second first split before leading throughout in 26.76 seconds over the 485 metres.

It was the fourth win of his career and further evidence of the talent that saw him qualify fastest into the Bendigo Gold Rush Maiden series earlier this year.

Organised Crime was the fastest qualifier jumping from box five in the fourth and final heat.

Australian Cup winner Dramatical ensured experience wasn’t completely overshadowed, setting the early benchmark in the opening heat with another powerful display to secure his place in next Friday’s final as the second-fastest qualifier.

Another youngster to shine was Dustin, who announced himself on the big stage with a dominant all-the-way victory. Still lightly raced, the emerging speedster showed plenty of promise with a polished front-running performance.

With seasoned stars set to clash with some of the sport’s brightest young talents, the stage is set for a fascinating Group 2 Horsham Cup on Friday, June 26.
