Graham was involved in greyhound racing for much of his life and remained active in the sport beyond the 2000’s.
Through racing, he formed many friendships and connections with trainers, owners, breeders, club members and racing families across Victoria and further afield.
One of Graham’s proudest connections in the sport was with the outstanding stayer Bolta’s Gift, the 1976 Victorian Greyhound of the Year.
Bolta’s Gift had an exceptional career, with 30 starts for 17 wins and 10 placings. She won six feature finals, including the National Distance
Championship at Angle Park, the NCA Cup, the Traralgon / Latrobe Valley Cup, the McKenna Memorial, the Maidment Memorial, and the Harpers Dog Chow Trophy. Her achievements saw her named Victorian Greyhound of the Year in 1976.
Graham’s love of greyhound racing continued long after those early years.
