Won by a street

NATURE STRIP charged into his first country cup final with a devastating seven-length heat romp, and he looms as a major player in Friday night’s Group 2 final.

Trained by David Geall, NATURE STRIP was the fastest of the seven heat winners, clocking a time of 25.407 seconds when eclipsing a field that included big guns UNLEASH COLLINDA and HECTOR FAWLEY.

It was a huge night for greyhound racing at Warragul on Friday as superstars turned out in force for a crack at the first Victorian country cup for 2024.

Jason Thompson got four runners through, including Topgun winner TRANSPONDER, dual country cup winner ALPHA ZULU and Melbourne Cup finalist TIM ZOO.

PASS THE BUCK was another greyhound to qualify when turning the tables on Phoenix winner SCHILLACI.
