We premiered the 2020 VGAs on the Greyhound Racing Victoria Facebook page on 30 August 2020, which was a celebration of the 2019/20 Racing Year.
Difficulties relating to the COVID-19 pandemic meant some of GRV’s long-standing annual awards including the Ken Carr Medal, Ned Bryant ‘Silver Fox’ and the Hall of Fame were not presented.

Recognises the premier Victorian greyhound during the 2019-2020 racing year, as adjudged by the Victorian Greyhound of the Year Panel.
Recognises the premier Victorian greyhound stayer of the 2019-2020 racing year, as adjudged by the Victorian Greyhound of the Year Panel.
Recognises the premier Victorian greyhound sprinter of the 2019-2020 racing year, as adjudged by the Victorian Greyhound of the Year Panel.
Awarded to the trainer with the most full stakes metropolitan and provincial tracks winners in Victoria during the 2019-2020 racing year.
The GRV Welfare Award was first presented in 2016 and recognises a person’s outstanding contribution to the welfare of greyhounds as adjudged by GRV’s Board of Directors.
The GRV Board Leadership Award was introduced in 2019 as the highest award of excellence to a leader in the Victorian greyhound racing industry and/or community.
