Tonight at The Meadows we look forward to the best of Maturity Classic heats of recent memory – a series restricted to young greyhounds. They’re complimented by heats of the Fireball for the stayers. It’s going to be a belter.

BEST
Race 8, Off The Chart (5)
I don’t normally like tipping them at odds this short, but like Dr. Will on Thursday night, he looks to be your multi anchor for your weekend plays. He’s got arguably the best acceleration in Australian greyhound racing and the speed map says he will get every possible chance to use it. He should tear them apart mid-race.
NEXT BEST
Race 10, Steal The Stage (2)
I think this is the stage for him to take the next step in his career. He gets the opportunity to go forward in this race with moderate beginners on his immediate inside and out. Retaliation is clearly the danger, but he can be hit or miss and the rails draw for Steal The Stage is more attractive.
VALUE BET
Race 11, Quinlee Bale (3)
This race is wide open and one like her wouldn’t shock if she won at north of double figure odds. She can occasionally begin very well and strength isn’t a drama with her. She’s had a few weeks off, comes in fresh and hopefully ready to run a good race at good odds in her heat of the Maturity.
WORTH THE RISK/TAKE ON
Race 9, Wrongly Accused (8)
He’s definitely one of the fastest greyhounds in the race but this draw looks ordinary and the challenge to get across some of these is huge. Dramatical has a far better draw and he gets ahead of Wrongly Accused he won’t get him. He’s created plenty of headlines this week Wrongly Accused, but I feel he’s unlikely to be creating one tonight.
