Tips for Sandown Park, Dramatical headlines the card

While many of the sport’s stars are either getting set for Geelong Cup heats, Easter Egg night at Wentworth Park or WA’s upcoming Sandgroper, we see arguably the fastest of them in Sportsbet Australian Cup winner Dramatical at Sandown Park tonight.

He’s goes around in Race 5 (8.28pm) and while perhaps not a betting proposition given his draw, it’ll sure be an entertaining watch and a race not to miss.

Hear my thoughts before every race at Sandown Park tonight on Sky Racing 1.

BEST
Race 8, Valenzuela (1)
He ran super well last week and tonight gets a draw he’s been due for. Amron Dancer (4) is extremely capable but gives up track position to him. Valenzuela has a rare chance to lead this race and pending he does, they shouldn’t get him.

NEXT BEST
Race 3, Quinlee Bale (8)
She’s been desperate for clear running early in her races and will get it here with the small field. She’s first up over this distance but based on her run home times, she’s capable. Should lead and with the lack of depth in this race can hold on.

BEST VALUE
Race 9, Paw Damon (4)
He stepped up to ‘500’ metre racing in his last start and looked built for it, his run home time at The Meadows was elite. There should be speed from Amron Lucy (2) and Elusive Curl (3) which allows Paw Damon to fill that space on the inside and let his power rip later on.

WORTH THE RISK/TAKE ON
Race 6, Flying Ducati (2)
He’s a chance to win, but in my opinion he’s definitely not an odds on hope as the market suggests. He gives up age and experience to those around him. There’s multiple greyhounds capable of winning and this boy’s odds are way too short for mine.

QUADDIE
Race 5: 7
Race 6: 1,2,3,4,5
Race 7: Field
Race 8: 1
