Topgun fields to be announced Wednesday

The fields for the Topgun will be announced live on RSN and SEN Track’s Giddy Up with Gareth Hall from 11:30am, Wednesday 28 October.

Then, join Gareth Hall, Jason Adams and George Farrugia on The Weekly Chase as they break down the fields in full – ahead of a massive triple-header of Group 1 racing on Saturday, 8 November.

UPCOMING TRIALS

As the Sportsbet Dream Chasers festival rolls around, the stars of the sport have begun descending on The Meadows in preparation for the huge racing season ahead.

NSW-trained stars Eriza Sparkles and Firethorn are set to have their first look at the Broadmeadows circuit in between races on Wednesday the 29th of October.

Million Dollar Chase placegetter and G1 Dapto Megastar champion, Eriza Sparkles, is set to exhibition trial after Race 2 over the 525m for trainer Steve Fitch.

The second trial will be held after Race 3 with Q2 Parklands track record holder, Firethorn, set to have her first go at the 730m trip for Mark Moroney.

Sooty Keeping & Jungle Johnny are expected to trial during Thursday’s trial session.

Power And Glory trialled last Wednesday putting together an impressive trial over the 525m into a brutal headwind – (5.20, 17.68) 29.943

NOTABLE ABSENTEES

Cumbria Jack, Lady Wilson & Apilla have all been withdrawn from consideration from The Topgun fields due to injury.

THE BOX DRAWS

The Topgun, Hume Cup & Topgun Stayers box draws will be conducted at the Meadows race meeting on Monday the 3rd of November.
