Last night greyhound fans had the pleasure of watching Explicit do what Explicit does best and that is win.

On paper, the race was run and won before it began, but the champ found himself eye to eye with Bagman who broke the magical 29 section barrier in April.

The winning margin was 0.23 lengths in Explicit’s favour.

Explicit (1) V Bagman (7) last night at Sandown Park over the 515 metres.

But it was commentary from the great man – George Farrugia, on RSN Grey Areas today that solidified the excellence displayed.

“He got turned sideways at the start and was going to be four in front and then six down the back,” Farrugia said.

“He could have almost gone close to breaking 29 again. He’s just a special animal isn’t he.”
