Bump in the road for Tribeca

Tribeca has been scratched from the Launching Pad Qualifier at Sandown Park on Thursday, but the line isn’t drawn through the series for the young gun.

“He sustained a hock strain and it’s had to be treated,” co-trainer Jamie Ennis said.

“He will be fine for the Launching Pad.”

Tribeca is a winner of four of six starts but announced himself as a potential star of the future when winning a Vic Bred Maiden Final at The Meadows on Australian Cup night.

He’s bred and owned by Harry and Adean Manolitsis who dubbed the son of Aston RupeeElevated as the second fastest greyhound they have ever had during the education phase behind Revolution.

The Launching Pad is a three week sweepstakes series aimed at young greyhounds (with 1-6 wins, no more than 30 starts) and kicks off with heats on Thursday April 3.

Any registered person, syndicate, Club or Association are able to buy a slot. They are available to be purchased until Monday March 31, unless sold out. Head to sandowngreyhounds.com.au for more details.
