Canya All Class stars in Bold Trease heats

Jessica Hopkins faces the prospect of claiming her second group 1 triumph in a month after Canya All Class solidified herself as the one to beat in next Saturday’s Bold Trease final.

The Topgun Stayers winner will jump from box two in the 715-metre feature, worth $75,000 to the winner, after clocking a slick 41.546, the fastest of the four heats.

She jumped from box 1 and produced a first split of 6.03, and had to hold off a fast-finishing Black Silencer late.

Black Silencer has drawn box 1 for the $113,500 final.

Flying Envy and Ella’s Babe ran one-two in the third of four heats on Saturday night, and will jump from boxes eight and seven respectively in next week’s final.

Ethanol Water also showed her class to beat Pass Mark. They’ve drawn boxes five and three respectively.

Shadows Of Blue and Canya Amy round out the eight-dog field, with Finnis Jewel and Payback the two reserves.
