Greyhounds return to Racing.com

Anticipation is at fever pitch for the launch of the Dream Chasers Festival at The Meadows this Saturday night and you will see all the colour, stories and high octane action live on Racing.com.

The coverage kicks off at 6.15pm immediately following Champion Stakes Day at Flemington.

It will be headed by Gareth Hall who will be joined by James Van de Maat, Mitch Ebeyer, Jason Adams out on the track speaking to participants plus Dan Gorringe and Ray Chamberlain getting the most out of the punters on-course.

Saturday’s card features three Group 1s led by the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun with Australia’s best sprinters locking horns in the $150,000 to-the-winner invitational.

The sport’s most recent million-dollar stayer Valpolicella aims to shake the doubts of many experts in the Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun Stayers. Ritza Piper won the race last year after gaining a start as first reserve, she’s a part of this year’s field and has the monumental task of going back-to-back.

The other Group 1 on the night is the Hume Cup where Tasmanian hero Raider’s Guide is considered the leading contender.

Over $3.5m in prize money is up for grabs throughout the festival.

Coverage of Sportsbet Melbourne Cup heats, Sportsbet Melbourne Cup final and The Phoenix will also be live on Racing.com.
