RSN Silver Bullet – a race for the ages

Hector Fawley made his mark on the Dream Chasers Festival before it began after claiming the RSN Silver Bullet tonight at The Meadows.

Last year’s Hume Cup winner overcame early trouble which saw pre-race favourite, Morton take a tumble before the first turn. Morton finished the race and was vetted following the event where no apparent injury was reported.

Hector Fawley stalked down up-and-comer, Vincent Bale to claim his third Group race victory by a nose in a time of 29.99.

Trained and owned by Team Cockerell, who were all on course to celebrate with their big blue star.

Hector Fawley and Morton have rugs in Saturday night Group 1 Topgun. The box draw was conducted on course tonight and saw Hector Fawley draw box four and Morton box 7.

What a finish… Hector Fawley pips Vincent Bale on the line to win the RSN Silver Bullet.

2024 RSN Silver Bullet: Close finish went the way of Hector Fawley (5) over Vincent Bale (7).

Can’t make it on track? The Dream Chasers Festival is live on racing.com with Gareth Hall, James Van de Maat, Mitch Ebeyer and Jason Adams from 6.15pm, Saturday 9 November.
