RSN Grey Areas: Jase is back on deck

The old crew is back together! Jason Adams and George Farrugia tackle some big issues, whilst looking at a monster week interstate for our Victorians.

Jeff Britton jumps on the phone to talk about his contenders in the Adelaide Cup heats and the thought process in choosing one feature race from another come this time of year.

Unlike guests from the previous few weeks who were calling out for a Phoenix slot, Jeff puts a call out for a home for one of George’s dogs, Multi Matt who is going around tonight at Sandown.

“He’s hard to give up, he’s such a beautiful dog. You go into the kennels, and you put your palm down, he puts his head in it for a pat.”

Hear RSN’s Grey Areas every Wednesday and Friday from midday – for a laugh, opinions, latest news and tips.

George’s set at Sandown:

Race 1, Canya Kipper (1)
“Hoping will be at each way odds and be an each way play. I like where he is drawn. I don’t see a real great deal of speed in the race and I think he can hold a very forward position and be a big chance.”

Race 2, My Magic Man (5)
“He is an Australian Cup finalist, but I am not suggesting he is going as good as when he made that Australian Cup back in March. He has to lead, and he gets his chance to really spear away here and then he might be hard to run down.”

Race 3, Billy Intention (1)
“He is drawn well, and his last month of racing has been very good. He was good last week at Sandown where he went 5.13 early and was beaten by Warm Cockles who we tipped and is a very talented greyhound.”

Race 4, Shima Steel (2)
“Drops in class to a level here where he should be hard to beat. At his best he will run low 5 seconds and be hard to run down.”
