Rooney on the front foot at Warragul

We see an aggressive set from form expert Nathan Rooney for tonight’s card at Warragul. A trio that have drawn suitably and expected to go well plus a quaddie with two anchors.

The first of those anchors is the fiercely promising Unreal Speed, who looks like he will be a heavyweight on the staying scene soon. He’s won five of his six starts and belted his opposition by 10 lengths last week at Warragul.

Hear Rooney’s race-by-race previews throughout the night on RSN.

Best Bet: Race 2, ANNABELLA ROSE (8)

Looks the one to beat. Clearly the quickest qualifier for this Maiden Final and comes up with a good draw. She should be able to begin on terms and accelerate to the front soon after box rise.

Next Best: Race 11, GRETEL’S GIRL (1)

Racing in good form and recently placed here at the track and distance when showing good speed. With a similar get away tonight she can hold the lead and be hard to catch.

Next Best: Race 9, JUNIOR’S MATE (1)

He had no luck last week in a much harder field from an unsuitable wide draw. He’s come up with a favourable inside draw tonight where he can race on the speed, and from there he’ll be hard to beat based on the runs he’s produced at Warragul previously.

Suggested Quaddie:

8 / 4, 1, 5, 8, 6 / 1 / 5, 7

$10 = 100%
