GRV advises that the race meeting at Sale today has been transferred to tomorrow (Monday 11 December) due to the state of the track.

Track diagnostics have been monitored post harrow last Monday, and inclement weather yesterday provided cause for concern.

The decision to postpone the meeting has been taken to allow more time to ensure the racing surface is suitable for racing.

With the meeting including key lead up races to the Group 1 Sale Cup and other feature events it was determined a postponement of the meeting, rather than abandonment, was the best option for all concerned.

As a result, scratchings for the Sale meeting will now close at 8:30am on Monday 11 December 2023.

Applications for penalty free scratchings will be reviewed by Stewards.

The safety and welfare of greyhounds and participants is of paramount concern for GRV in assessing whether a race meeting or individual races on a program should proceed, be delayed, or abandoned.
