Ned Bryant ‘Silver Fox’ Award – Kelvyn and Jackie Greenough

A shining season of training and promotion has resulted in popular Pearcedale husband-and-wife team Kel and Jackie Greenough receiving one of the sport’s highest accolades – the prestigious Ned Bryant ‘Silver Fox’ Award at the 2023 Victorian Greyhound Awards.

“Team Greenough” went beyond the call of duty during the 2022/23 racing season ensuring unprecedented promotion of the sport via their ‘pin-up girl’, Wow She’s Fast.

During the 2022/23 racing year, Wow She’s Fast achieved the following:

  • Starts: 15 – 8 wins, 2 seconds
  • Won – 2022 G1 Maturity Classic; 2023 G1 Temlee; 2022 G3 Shootout; 2022 The Phoenix; 2022 Showdown
  • Finalist – 2022 G1 Adelaide Cup; 2022 G1 Topgun; 2023 G1 Sapphire Crown

Wow She’s Fast – dubbed the sport’s Phar Lap – played PR machine courtesy of her brilliance on the racetrack and received widespread mainstream media exposure.

She became the world’s first $2 million prizemoney earner in greyhound racing, snaring her second The Phoenix in December last year, and her racing exploits are highlighted in the Australian Sports Museum at the MCG as part of an exhibition showcasing Victorian greyhound racing’s 150th anniversary.
