The Stir Up – July 13 Edition

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts Gents, Saturday night promises to be a ripper at The Meadows with eight fantastic heats of the Group 1 KCR Pet Transport Maturity Classic.

Gerard Quilts, the first heat is highlighted by the appearance of The Sandgroper winner Crumble Monelli. He faces tough opposition including Make No Promise and Al’s Entity.

Trent Victa Damian was amazing when he won an Australian Cup heat in February. Can he defy the challenge of Nature Strip, Zulu Blast and Professor Snitch in the second heat?

Quilts The third heat should be hotly contested, fellas. Group 2 finalist Crackerjack Aret, plus promising chasers Rocky Roll, New Wave Whine and Canya Hustle, are all last-start winners.

Gerard Will the Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter winner Transponder continue his hot form in the fourth heat? He has eight wins and three minor placings from his last 11 starts.

Trent Baby Jaycee is just as hot as Transponder, Gerard, and she headlines the fifth heat. The Group 1 Sapphire Crown champion has been triumphant in seven of her past eight races.

Quilts The sixth heat appears more competitive compared to the previous two qualifiers. Trapper Tears is a Group placegetter, Crackerjack Boom is promising, and Canya Exceed was dominant on June 5.

Trent Quilts, Launch Code looks like the standout chaser in the seventh heat. He showed plenty of zip for original trainer Luigi Pisano, and he has been brilliant in his two runs for Brooke Ennis.

Gerard It can be argued that the eighth and final heat is the toughest. Zara Marnie, Never Any Doubt, Mepunga Smokey, Navarino and Shima Shadow are all quality youngsters.

Trent Two-time Group 1 champion Amron Boy appears in the second race of the meeting, while two heats of the Group 3 KCR Fireball feature Group 1 winners Ariarne Bale, Jarick Bale, Moraine Suzie and Untapped.
