The Stir Up featuring Rejuvenate, Amron Boy and Transponder

GRV’s Peter Quilty, Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Quilts  Fellas, the quality chasing doesn’t stop following the terrific Pink Diamond finals at Warragul, and our focus starts with Victorian stars racing tonight in the Sunshine State.

Gerard  Quilts, the main race at Albion Park is the Group 3 Super Stayers Invitational. Rob Britton advised me that First Pickedwill be there to pounce” if her three rivals make any mistakes.

Trent  How will Group 3 winner Rejuvenate measure up in his first race outside of Victoria? The winner of 18 races from 24 starts is lining up in tonight’s first Brisbane Cup Prelude.

Gerard  Last year’s Flying Amy Classic runner-up Amron Boy begins his pursuit of a third Group 1 in the second Brisbane Cup Prelude. Group 2 finalist Crackerjack Aret is also in this event.

Quilts  I caught up with Jason Thompson this week with Postman Pat contesting the third Brisbane Cup Prelude and he stated that “Postman Pat is up there for a reason.” That’s confidence.

Trent  Jason Thompson also has Transponder in Race 5 of Premier Racing at Sandown Park. Will the Pink Diamond Champion Sprinter winner be victorious for the seventh time in his last nine starts?

Quilts  Transponder won’t have it all his own way, Trent. Group 1 finalist Boo Boo Billy is regaining form and the promising Tangela Bale is on a four-race winning streak.

Gerard  Mark and Lisa Delbridge have many runners at Sandown Park tonight including three-time Group 1 winner Jarick Bale (Race 4) and the reigning Melbourne Cup champion Yachi Bale (Race 7).

Quilts  Tomorrow night at Traralgon has heats of the Glenview Cup (featuring Compliance) and Floodfawn Classic (featuring Let’s Win Coin), and Unleash Collinda runs at Bendigo in the afternoon.

Trent  Don’t forget about the star-studded 525-metre Free For All at The Meadows on Saturday night. Paddy Wants Pats, Shima Shadow, Baby Jaycee, Captain Larry and Big Energy. Wow!
