The Stir Up featuring Kelsey Bale, Typhoon Sammy and Ferdinand Boy

GRV’s Gerard Guthrie and Trent Langskaill provide their thoughts on some of the star greyhounds racing in Victoria.

Keep an eye on these, they are worth saving in your WatchDog Blackbook!

Gerard  Trent, no wonder you are excited about the drive to Warrnambool considering the quality in the seven heats of the Group 2 Sportsbet Warrnambool Cup.

Trent  How good is the first heat, Gerard? The latest country cups queen, Kelsey Bale, faces last year’s country cups king, Typhoon Sammy, along with Salad Dodger and Bobby Axelrod.

Gerard  The second heat should be a beauty. Unleash Collinda, the king of Healesville, lines up against prolific winners Action Girl (34 victories) and Matt’s Hope (30 victories).

Trent  Dundee Smokey was brilliant at Geelong last Friday night. Stealth and Quinlan Bale will provide strong opposition in the third heat. Can last year’s Warrnambool Cup winner Ferdinand Boy rediscover his best form?

Gerard  Titan Blazer broke through at Group level earlier this month. Will his class be enough to thwart promising chasers Crackerjack Aret and Aston Ziebell in the fourth heat?

Trent  Mr. Beets loves racing at Warrnambool, but he is facing smart rivals in the fifth heat including Group finalists Zella Bale and Boo Boo Billy, plus One’s Obsession as well.

Gerard  I spoke to Gary Peach about his three runners, which includes Silver Brute in the sixth heat. His competition includes last year’s Warrnambool Cup placegetter Mepunga Mustang.

Trent  My Neo almost held off Baby Jaycee at Sandown Park last Thursday night. He lines up against the promising Crackerjack Boom and former WA star Panama Pepper in the seventh heat.

Gerard  Premier Racing at Sandown Park this evening features a great clash between Yachi Bale, Trapper Tears, Amron Boy and Modern Collinda in the 515-metre Free For All.

Trent  Good luck to the many Victorian stayers heading to The Gardens in Newcastle for heats of The 715 on Friday night, which includes Group 1 winners Ariarne Bale, First Picked and Moraine Suzie.
