GRV Covid update: New public health order changes now in effect

The Victorian Government this week announced further changes to pandemic orders and public health recommendations which came into place at 11:59pm on Tuesday 12 July 2022.

The changes were implemented to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 and ensure Victorians are aware of proactive steps they can take to look after themselves and each other.

This will in turn help alleviate the pressure on our health system and ensure businesses can continue to keep customers and workers safe and their doors open.

From midnight on Tuesday 12 July 2022, the period when someone is considered a recently confirmed COVID case (and therefore exempt from testing and isolation/quarantine requirements) has been revised to four weeks, down from 12 weeks.

This reflects the emerging evidence that new variants of COVID-19 can evade prior immunity gained from infection.

To Keep Racing Safe we ask participants to undertake the following:
• Do not attend tracks when unwell
• Adhere to the latest advice regarding testing and isolation where you have COVID-19 or recently were a confirmed case of COVID-19 as per definition above
• Adhere to social distancing and cleaning & sanitising protocols while at tracks

The Victorian Government has also noted that mask wearing indoors and in crowded settings is also strongly recommended.
