How to spend $50 on TAB’s ‘All In’ Shepparton Cup market

The stars are coming out to play in Monday night’s sensational Group 2 CKH Painting Shepparton Cup heats; however, form expert The Watchdog has incredibly labelled a $151 outsider as “the big value” in TAB’s ‘All In’ market.

The six heats are stacked with class, headlined by country cup winners Typhoon Sammy and Paua Of Buddy, which share ‘All In’ favouritism at $4, ahead of defending champion and 450m track record holder Ferdinand Boy at $5.50.

But The Watchdog may have unearthed a ‘hidden gem’ at triple figures in the Andrea Dailly-trained Indy Fido, a Group 2 Warragul Cup finalist in January, which has drawn Box 1 in Heat 5.

“I think the big value in the series comes with ‘the red’, Indy Fido,” said The Watchdog.

“He’s $151 at the moment. He’s got Box 1, this dog has elite mid-race pace. If he can step better from Box 1, which I think he can, he’ll put himself right in the mix. If he comes up with ‘the red’ in the final, he’ll only go around $12.”

“I think Compliance is going to play a major role in this series.”

Compliance 2

While respecting the series heavyweights, The Watchdog has gone searching for value in his theoretical $50 ‘All In’ investment.

He’s particularly bullish about the prospects of lightly raced $12 chance Compliance, which was beaten by the barest of margins when runner-up in the Group 1 Silver Chief Final at The Meadows on New Year’s Day.

Trained by Karen Pitt, Compliance has drawn Box 2 in the opening heat.

The Watchdog’s $50 spend

$20 on Compliance to win at $12
$10 on Americano Miss to win at $51

$10 on Indy Fido to win at $151
$10 on Indy Fido to place at $38.50

Fifty Dollar Note

“I’m really keen on Compliance,” The Watchdog said.

“I think he’s going to play a major role in this series. This is his ideal distance range. We saw what he did in the Group 1 final (Silver Chief) at The Meadows, he led them up and was only pipped on the post. This sort of trip is definitely the way to go for him.”

The Watchdog has tipped Typhoon Sammy, already the winner of the Group 2 Traralgon and Horsham Cups in 2022 and a Bendigo Cup placegetter last year, to qualify for his fourth country cup final when he exits Box 6 in Heat 3.

However, he gives another ‘Team Dailly’ roughie in Americano Miss a chance of turning the tables on her Horsham Cup conqueror.

“I’ve got Typhoon Sammy on top in his heat but Americano Miss pings for a living. I think she can lead, she’s just going super at the moment, and she represents value at $51.”
