The box draws for Saturday night’s Group 1 TAB Topgun (525m) & Group 1 TAB Topgun Stayers (725m) have been conducted.

TAB was quick to put up the markets, with Aston Rupee the $2.60 favourite to win the Topgun after drawing Box 2, ahead of NSW sensation Bandit Ned, a winner of 15 from 18 including his past seven on end.

Meanwhile, betting for the Topgun Stayers is tight at the top, with NSW superstar Stanley Road and boom Victorian Zac’s Entity – the latter having raced just seven times – equal favourites at $4 ahead of Mepunga Ruby at $4.20.

The fields for the two invitationals were selected by the Topgun panel and, coincidentally, both comprise four Victorian and four NSW greyhounds.
