In case you missed it

Form expert Dale Code has picked out a selection of runs from around Victoria that have caught the eye over the past fortnight.

#1 DAYLEN BALE (Box 1)
Breeding: Oct ’19 Jarvis Bale x Alera Bale
Trainer: Daniel Gibbons, Avalon
Record: 13 starts 4-4-3

Dale says:
“Punters had cause for concern when heavily-supported favourite Daylen Bale got off to a solid start before being blocked for a run, striking plenty of bother and finding himself towards the tail of the field. Once balanced, however, he exploded mid race, and hooked to the outside turning for home, powering to the line to claim a super impressive win.”     Results

#2 JUST RAMBLING (Box 6)
Breeding: Dec ’18 My Bro Fabio x Jouster
Trainer: Peter Schofield, Hazelwood
Record: 30 starts 12-4-1

Dale says:
“A fierce chasing performance combined with speed and power saw Just Rambling record this brilliant win. In a desperate attempt to get down to the inside rail, Just Rambling found bother on multiple occasions, but once balanced he went into overdrive and left his rivals standing as he powered away to a convincing victory. One to add to your black book particularly if he draws an inside box.”     Results

#3 ON THE BIT (Box 1)
Breeding: Aug ’19 Orson Allen x Paua To Excite
Trainer: Matthew Lanigan, Rowsley
Record: 10 starts 7-1-1

Dale says: “In his last preparation On The Bit showed star potential before enduring a serious Achilles injury that saw him off the racing scene for almost five months. Given the serious nature of his injury and the fact it was his first race back after quite some time, his win here was nothing short of special. After a slow beginning he quickly gathered in the leaders and powered away to the easiest of victories. His winning time of 18.89sec was one of the quickest runs up the Healesville straight seen this year.”     Results

#4 BOOM OUT (Box 8)
Breeding: Sep ’19 Barcia Bale x Zoom Out
Trainer: Michelle Mallia, Avalon
Record: 20 starts 10-4-2

Dale says:
“After bombing the start, Boom Out displayed his trademark turn of early speed and exploded around the outside of the field to put himself in a threatening position. However, he was blocked for a run at a vital stage and lost valuable ground and momentum. Once balanced, he again showed a great turn of speed and, utilising terrific track sense, he darted back to the inside and proved too slick in the run home recording a brilliant last-to-first victory.”     Results
