‘Cliffhanger’ for Rambo & Cats?

Tonight’s Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats blockbuster should be a ‘cliffhanger’.

Quite apt considering TAB’s AFL/Greys offer is $5.00 about Geelong winning and staying ‘mercenary’ Zipping Rambo saluting at Sandown Park.

The Cats – who scored a 5pt ‘kick after the siren’ win over the Bulldogs last week – are 3rd on the AFL ladder with 10 wins from 13 matches, while the Lions – who defeated the Kangaroos by 23pts – are 4th with nine wins but have a slightly better percentage.

Meanwhile, the Mark Delbridge-trained Zipping Rambo (Box 4) is TAB’s $1.70 favourite in a $15,000 to-the-winner Gr8 Eight (715m).

Zipping Rambo has won 16 races from 32 starts – including six wins, three seconds and one third from his past 10. And he’s five from nine exiting the ‘blue’ alley.

He recently won the G1 Sandown Cup (715m) and G3 Racecallers Speed Star (595m) – both at Sandown Park – in successive weeks.

The Lions vs Cats clash commences at the Gabba at 7.30pm, while Zipping Rambo is in Race 8 Box 4 at 8.40pm.

Pawnote: TAB is also offering $4.00 about the Brisbane Lions winning and another Victorian star stayer, Five Star, taking out tonight’s G3 Orson Allen Super Stayers (710m) at Albion Park in Queensland.

WATCH: Zipping Rambo (4) claims the G1 RSN Sandown Cup – the world’s premier distance race – on May 27.
