Blues & Qwara “never let you down”?

New ‘sprint queen’ Qwara Bale “never lets you down”. But will it be “the famous old dark Blues”?

Carlton fans will be hoping so when they take on the GWS Giants tonight.

TAB is “with all the champions” offering $5.50 for the Blues to lose by eight point or less – or even win – against the Giants and Qwara Bale to reign supreme at The Meadows.

“And they’ll (TAB) know that they’ve been playing” – and paying – if both get up!

Both teams are having somewhat disappointing seasons – GWS is 10th on the AFL ladder with five wins from 12 games and Carlton is 14th with four wins.

The Giants finished strongly to snatch a draw against ‘cellar dwellers’ North Melbourne last week, while the Blues lost to the West Coast Eagles by 22pts before a last-round bye.

Meanwhile, the Andrea Dailly-trained Qwara Bale (Box 2) is TAB’s $2.25 favourite in a Free For All (525m). Australia’s latest female sprinting monarch shades ‘country cups king’ Yozo Bale (Box 1), at $2.70, in fixed odds betting.

Qwara Bale has won 15 races (with one second and four thirds) from 25 starts – including the G1 Sapphire Crown and G2 Warrnambool Cup. She’s won six of her past seven and is four from four exiting the ‘check’ alley. And her PB over 525m at The Meadows is a flying 29.79sec.

Bounce down for the GWS Giants vs Carlton clash at Giants Stadium, NSW is at 7.25pm, while Qwara Bale is in Race 7 at 8.38pm.
