‘Immunity’ for Saints

St Kilda supporters will be hoping the Saints are ‘resistant’ to the Adelaide Crows and the aptly named Immunity wins on Saturday night.

TAB has gone marching in with a $5.00 cross-sports offer for the Saints to wear a halo against the Crows and Immunity to counteract her rivals in the Trios Winter Cup final (520m) at Cranbourne.

St Kilda is 12th and the Adelaide Crows 15th on the AFL ladder leading into their Round 13 encounter.

Meanwhile, Immunity is TAB’s $2.20 favourite in the $20,535 to-the-winner event.

Trained by Jason Thompson, Immunity – a litter sister of powerhouse Equalizer – was the fastest Winter Cup qualifier in a slick 30.05sec. She’s won 14 races from 19 starts and was a G2 Laurels finalist in December last year.

Immunity has also inherited the genes of her famous older half-sister Black Opium who contested eight G1 finals – including wins in the Sapphire Crown and Brisbane Cup – during her illustrious career.

In a statistical quirk, Black Opium won her first seven races while Immunity won her first six.

Bounce down for the St Kilda vs Adelaide Crows clash at Cazaly’s Stadium, Qld is at 7.25pm, while Immunity is in Race 8 Box 4 (7.23pm).

WATCH: Sprint siren Immunity (8) ‘counteracts’ her rivals with a sensational 30.05sec (Best) Winter Cup heat win at Cranbourne last week.
