Who let the ‘Dogs’ out?

Here’s a cross-sports proposition for ‘Doggies’ supporters that could have them ‘barking’ at the “Kennel” – and punters ‘wagging’ their wallets!

TAB is offering $4.50 about the Western Bulldogs defeating Collingwood in a season opener tonight and Christo Bale winning at The Meadows greyhounds.

Last year, the Bulldogs finished seventh (10 wins) and the Magpies eighth (9 wins) at the end of the home and away fixture.

They met once during the season, with Collingwood 13.8.86 defeating the Western Bulldogs 5.4.34 in Round 1.

Meanwhile, Christo Bale is contesting a Free For All over 525m.

Trained by Mark Delbridge, Christo Bale has won 20 races (with nine seconds and 10 thirds) from 52 starts – including eight wins from 21 starts over 525m at The Meadows, with a sizzling 29.61sec PB.

One of the sport’s most versatile greyhounds, Christo Bale has contested six Group 1 finals, including runner-up in the Hume Cup (600m) and a third placing in the TAB Topgun (525m) – both at The Meadows. He also won the G2 McKenna Memorial (595m) at Sandown Park.

The ‘Dogs’ v ‘Pies’ clash at the MCG commences at 7.50pm, while Christo Bale is in Race 8 Box 3 at 9.27pm.
