Golden ticket to the Group 1 Topgun

Golden Night has ended Victoria’s love affair with the Group 1 Adelaide Cup, turning the tables on Catch The Thief after being narrowly defeated in the match races series at Angle Park.

South Australian Golden Night, who is trained by Troy Murray, now receives a direct invite into the Group 1 Topgun field which will be run at The Meadows on Saturday 7 November.

“We will be accepting the invitation to the Topgun,” Troy Murray said.

“If I am not allowed over because of the boarder closures we will send Golden Night to Geoff Collins who is friends with the owners.”

Golden Night is a winner of 14 races from 34 career starts, starting his career in Victoria under the care of Jason Thompson.

“Golden Night has come along in leaps and bounds – he is a professional little dog.”

The Meadows will be sending our invitations to nominate for the TAB Topgun and Topgun Stayers via email this evening so trainers should keep an eye on their inboxes.
