Sandown Park track closed temporarily

GRV advises that the Sandown GRC racetrack is to undergo urgent remedial works.

As such, the following race meetings have been cancelled:
– Sandown Park Thursday 20 August
– Sandown (SAP) Sunday 23 August

Prize money for the Mixed 6/7 595m Final at Sandown on Thursday 20 August will be split between the eight finalists.

Consequently some further changes have been to the racing schedule as per below:

The meeting at Meadows (MEP) Wednesday 19 August has been transferred to Thursday 20 August (Twilight). Nominations have been extended to Tuesday 18 August at 8.00am. All nominations remain valid. First race is 3.14pm with kennelling to open at 1.59pm. Provincial Full stake prize money will follow the Wednesday meeting to the new Thursday time slot.

A new Provincial Full Stakes meeting has been added to the schedule at Horsham on Sunday 23 August (Day). Nominations are now open and will close Wednesday 19 August at 10.00am. This replaces the Sandown Provincial Full stake meeting that has been cancelled.

The provincial meeting at Sandown (SAP) on 10 September will now be conducted at metro prize money as a result of this Thursday’s cancellation.
