See ‘Smokey’ fly up!

Essendon fans keen on taking up TAB’s cross-sport (AFL/Greyhounds) offer tonight will be hoping not only to ‘see the Bombers fly up’ but also Zambora Smokey score at Warragul.

TAB is offering $2.80 on seventh-placed Essendon winning or even losing by 13pts or less against second-placed Brisbane and Zambora Smokey winning a heat of the G3 Warragul St Leger.

Essendon has been hit-and-miss this season, but Zambora Smokey has been ‘kicking goals’. He won the G2 Warrnambool Cup in May and last week was a finalist in the G1 Maturity Classic at The Meadows.

Trained by Jason Thompson, Zambora Smokey has won 17 races from 25 starts and is undefeated in two starts at Warragul – including a near-record 25.37sec performance. And he’s two from two from Box 2.

He’s also $3.00F in TAB’s ‘All In’ market for the Warragul St Leger series.

Bounce down for the Bombers v Lions clash is @ 8.10pm at Metricon Stadium, while Zambora Smokey is in Race 6 Box 2 at 8.45pm.
